Seeing

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?"

There is a tendency to judge others by their flaws, to see and remember them by their weaknesses.

Such a judgement impedes with universal brotherhood. How can one accepts another when all he could see was the latter's weaknesses?

Lack of self-awareness stunts growth and relationships.

"The man of virtue learns the Tao and loves others."

He who practices the art of tolerance and non-judgement learns to accept others - virtues and flaws, strengths and weaknesses.

Being kind, it isn't easy. But just because it isn't easy doesn't mean one shouldn't be kind.

"The most supreme form of kindness is like water. It benefits the multitude of living beings while asking for nothing in return."

May the world be flooded with rivers of such water.
